Email. Setting up mail on iPhone and iPad Mail here by switched to Yandex

What options are provided when registering a mailbox?

Free mailboxes of TUT.BY users are hosted on the Yandex.Mail platform. The volume of the mailbox is not limited.

Email users are provided with:

  • a short mailbox with an address in the format [email protected];
  • access via mail clients using common IMAP4/POP3/SMTP protocols;
  • support for SSL/TLS encryption;
  • access via mobile devices;
  • convenient web interface that can completely replace the mail program;
  • filtering unwanted mail (spam) and viruses using innovative technologies;
  • support for documents and spreadsheets with the ability to import and export from/to Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel);
  • contact list, calendar, ability to store files on Yandex.Disk
  • and much more…

There are three ways to restore: through a backup address, SMS, or answering a security question.

  • If you have access to the e-mail box that you specified as a backup for your TUT.BY account, then to get a link to it to enter a new password, just enter your login (TUT.BY username) on the page, and then provide a backup address.
  • To receive the code for changing the password in the form of SMS, you need to enter your login (username TUT.BY) on the page, click on the "SMS" button and enter the phone number in full.
  • You can also enter a new password after answering the secret question directly on the page.

Please note that it is impossible to change the password using Yandex tools: all operations with passwords are carried out only on TUT.BY.

If you have chosen more than one recovery method, then any of these methods can be deleted. After deleting the answer to the security question, this recovery method becomes unavailable in the future, while the backup address and phone number can be re-linked to the account after deletion. Each postal address can be used as a backup for only one TUT.BY account. Similarly: each phone number can only be linked to one account.

The technical support service of the portal also does not develop software and never sends programs to users. In no case do not run the files attached to such letters and do not follow the links (especially if the files are archived) - these are dangerous viruses.

If you received such a suspicious letter from any of the addresses in the format [email protected], please report it to [email protected] so that we can block the sender's account.

The only difference is: TUT.BY users in the " Username" indicate not just a login, but full mailbox address, in the format [email protected].

If all settings are specified, and the mail program does not receive or send letters, you can contact for help at [email protected]– attach screenshots of the settings and the window with the error message to the letter.

The only difference is that in the "Username" field you will need to enter the mailbox address in the format [email protected]. Of the two possible incoming mail protocols, we recommend choosing IMAP.

In addition, on mobile devices, you can also work with mail through the web interface (login from the page https://mail.tut.by).

The ability to set avatars on Yandex.Mail for TUT.BY users, unfortunately, is not provided. Sometimes, user photos are added to the lines with sent letters, selected based on the results of automatic processing of social network data. If you find an error (that is, the sender does not display your avatar), you can contact Yandex support via the feedback form at https://yandex.ru/support/mail-new/web/preferences/about- sender-form.html#about-sender-form .

When setting up, there are no particular difficulties, most of the parameters remain by default, you only need to correctly set the parameters for accessing the mail server:

In 2015, the popular Belarusian portal TYT.BY switched to using the Yandex mail service, as a result of which the owners of iOS devices experienced some discomfort, as they had to reconfigure the mail client.

Unfortunately, the setup does not go through automatically, as is the case with Gmail. The problem is exacerbated by the fact that during setup you will need to manually enter the addresses of POP and SMPT servers, as well as complete the registration process on the site itself. At the same time, this trouble applies to all users of the resource - both existing and new. In the instructions below, we will describe in detail the procedure for setting up TUT.BY mail on iPhone and iPad.

How to set up a TUT.BY mailbox on iPhone or iPad after switching to Yandex.Mail

1 . Go to the TUT.BY website in a browser on a computer, smartphone or tablet, enter your login and password, click "Mail".

The resource will automatically redirect you to the registration completion page, where you need to enter additional account information. Fill in the required fields and click Complete registration.

Anti-spam filters may treat your message as SPAM for many reasons. This may be due to the fact that someone began to mark your emails as SPAM, due to the addition of your domain to blacklists, due to the analysis of the content of your message (try to redesign it so that it does not look like SPAM).

Also, the IP address of the server where your hosting is located can be entered in the spam lists, in which case you need to contact the technical support service.

  • log in to Cpanel;
  • in the "Mail" section, open the item "Mailing lists";
  • enter the name of the mailing list, select the domain from the drop-down list, enter the password and click the "Add mailing list" button;
  • next to the mailing list that appears, there is an item “Administer”, by clicking on which you can edit the list at your discretion.

As a rule, if for some reason the recipient cannot receive the letter, then the sender should receive a response indicating the reason for the non-delivery of the message. If, having learned the server's response, you cannot solve the problem yourself, then you need to contact the technical support service by email [email protected] website. The request must include the sender's address, the recipient's address, and the approximate time the message was sent.

It is also possible that several devices receive mail from one mailbox. And in the settings of mail clients there is an option “Delete letters from the server after receiving”.

Login to cpanel hosting control panel. In the "Mail" section, open the "MX Record" item. From the list, select the domain for which mail will be configured.

Adding a new entry:
for gmail.com/tut.by

Importance: 1

Recipient: ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM

for yandex.ru

Importance: 10

Recipient: MX.YANDEX.NET

Wait for the DNS records to be updated. This process can take up to 72 hours.
